Alot of people have been asking me why did Arthur Brown choose the University of Miami FL over programs such as USC, UNC, and OU. Heres my take:
1) Miami FL has had a great number of athletes come through the program and become professionals in the NFL. Almost every year you see a good number of Hurricanes get drafted so Arthur maybe thinking that it will be the best program that can prepare him and also attract attention for him and raise his draft stock when its his time.
2) Their coach is in his second season as the head coach and hes very defensive oriented. He played at Miami and he is now coaching so he knows the tradition and what spectators expect from the team.
3) Who can ignore the great sunny weather down in Florida, it definately beats Kansas come and go conditions.
4)Their new defensive coordinator comes from the University of Kansas. Although Lawrence is a distance from Wichita, you cannot ignore a top prospect coming from the state your school is located. He knows about him and has seen Brown in action so he will definately give Arthur the attention and the great effort of coaching that he will need to become successful at the college level and beyond.
